• The River Thames

I've been creating a print series of London in the background recently
between commissions and was reminded of these. They caught
my eye last year when they won the Gold and Silver prizes for the
London Transport Museum competition all about the River Thames.
The first is by Anne Wilson and the second by Melvyn Evans.
  • Toko - Kaleidoscope Oxfam

Sydney based Toko created a poster a while back that caught my eye.
I often think the simple methods work best and this is a great example of that.
You can visit their website for more interesting and inspiring design here.
  • Sawdust Graminator Wallpaper

I do love a bit of geometric interaction. The studio Sawdust created this interactive wallpaper for the Granimator app by ustwo. It's a lovely piece of simple design that you can use again and again and the colour palette gets my thumbs up too. To see more work from Sawdust take a look here.
  • Words Can Fly a Thousand Miles

I do love a bit of 3D work and this origami creation caught my eye.
It's been created by Kyosuke Nishida, Dominic Lie and Brian Li.
It was also all for a great cause to help awareness and bring support to those
affected by the earthquake in Fukushima, Japan. Really lovely work.

  • Musical Rollercoaster

Virtual Republic have created this rather elegant new short of a musical rollercoaster ride.
The camera follows the sheet music in time to the audio and makes for an excellent idea.
You see more of their work here.
  • Graphis Covers

I've always been a big fan of the covers of the Graphis Journals and Annuals. Especially more
so those from the 1940s - 1960s. Here are three from that era that have caught my eye the most.
There have been over 350 issues of the Journal published since 1944 and the Annual is still
published to this day featuring the best of contemporary illustration, photography and design.
To find out more about Graphis and all it's publications you can visit their website here.

  • Olivetti Posters

It may be of no surprise that I love geometric shapes and a good use of a colour palette.
Both these can be found in the hundreds of Olivetti advertising posters you see on
numerous blogs and websites online. To enjoy their splendor further head to a Flickr
set I found where you can see a whole host of shapes and colours on show here.
  • Thereza Rowe

This particular piece of work was created for the Danish band The Yes Wave
and as ever the styling and composition are full of personality, character and
    a harmonious colour palette.

You can see more of Thereza's work
    here.
